Pita K. Niubalavu Barrister & Solicitor / Intellectual Property Consultant

Pita K. Niubalavu serves as the Barrister & Solicitor and Intellectual Property Consultant. He holds an LLM in Intellectual Property, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP).

With a career spanning law, policy, and education, Pita brings deep expertise in IP law and practical experience advising international organizations, governments, and creative industries across the Pacific.

In addition to his role at Oceanica IP, Pita has been a part-time lecturer at the University of Fiji School of Law since 2015, mentoring the next generation of legal professionals.

He has worked as an IP Consultant for institutions such as WIPO, SPC, ILO, UNESCO, FAC, and PIFS, engaging with stakeholders across Fiji, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Cook Islands, Vanuatu, and other Pacific nations. His contributions include training programs, policy development, and support for IP-related capacity building.

Vrinda Nandan

Barrister & Solicitor

Vrinda Nandan is a Barrister & Solicitor with experience across a broad range of legal areas including civil litigation, debt recovery, family law, probate, and property matters. She regularly appears in the Magistrates Court, High Court, and Court of Appeal, and is actively involved in preparing legal submissions, court orders, probate applications, wills, and related documentation.

Her legal background includes practical experience in court appearances, legal drafting, registry filings, and client liaison. Vrinda has also worked on the preparation of family law forms, demand notices, statutory documents, and estate-related matters, including applications for probate and letters of administration.

With a strong focus on detail, professionalism, and client service, Vrinda contributes effectively to both litigation and advisory services at Oceanica IP Lawyers.

Elesi Dirababa

Conveyancing Officer

Elesi Dirababa plays a vital role in our team, supporting conveyancing transactions and litigation. She assists in preparing legal documents, coordinating with clients and external agencies, and ensuring smooth and timely lodgement of property related documentations with the respective registries.

Elesi is also a part-time Bachelor of Laws (LLB) student at the University of the South Pacific, balancing academic studies with practical legal experience.

Her growing legal knowledge, combined with practical experience in conveyancing, makes her a valuable asset to Oceanica IP Lawyers.

Penieli Vukivuki

Trademark / Conveyancing Officer

Penieli takes charge of our trademark, patent and design portfolios, including search, registration and renewal of applications. His work involves drafting new applications for registration coordinating with clients and external agencies and ensuring smooth and timely lodgements of IP applications with the Fiji Intellectual Property Office.

Penieli is also a part-time Bachelor of Laws (LLB) student at the University of Fiji, balancing academic studies with practical legal experience.
